Even in ancient Mesopotamia, it was customary to store part of the harvest to have fresh vegetables available for sailors heading to faraway India and during the cold winter months.
The hot peppers under water have the bright red color characteristic of ripe peppers grown in direct Adriatic sunlight; the pungent taste and intense aroma of fresh peppers, the soft texture, the spicy and iodine-rich flavour characteristic of km0 products grown in the soils of our estate, rich in mineral salts and trace elements brought by the sea.
Enjoy our freshly harvested, hand-picked hot peppers, which we pickle shortly after picking and are therefore suitable for fresh consumption even months after harvesting.
